Progress in work
| En los últimos días he preparado y subido algunas más de las obras de Textos del Kaos. Así que ya podéis encontrar listadas la segunda parte de la Trilogía de la vida (la titulada He levantado mi vida una y otra vez, y de nuevo la he vuelto a destruir) y varios de mis textos más conceptuales, en que la forma es parte del fondo, del mensaje. Son esas piezas que, en su día, Keoki calificó de frikadas. Cuando en la lista de Textos del Kaos aparezca Cerró de nuevo la ventana, podréis ver el comentario que dejó al respecto.

| Ayer, tuve la genial idea de echar un vistazo a la apariencia de mis contenidos en Explorer. Quizás debería aclarar que yo uso Mac, así que mi navegador natural es Safari. Y el asunto empeora si os cuento que también K es de Mac, y que los dos amigos que más probablemente me podrían haber aconsejado en este tipo de asuntos, Keoki e Il Pablino (también conocido como Mr Minijuegos), también tienen Macs.
En fin, el hecho es que uno tiende a pensar que escribiendo, como es mi caso, html en un nivel muy básico y con el cogollo de todo el sitio web construido sobre WordPress, los requerimientos de Explorer quedarían más que cubiertos - al fin y al cabo, todo lo que encuentras por ahí está pensado para encajar con los estándares de Microsoft, más que con los estándares compartidos por la industria. Bueno, pues no. Cuando abrí esta misma página en Explorer, resultó que tiene un aspecto desastroso. Y después de un rato de navegar por el sitio, sencillamente llegué a la conclusión de que, aparte de poner un poco más de cuidado y hacer algún chequeo de vez en cuando con distintos navegadores, lo que tengo que hacer es aumentar el nivel de detalle al escribir mi html, y cuantificar todos los parámetros que pueda con valores absolutos. Por ejemplo, los bordes, las fotos… todo lo que se pueda medir en píxeles, deberé especificarlo en píxeles. Bueno, al menos espero que así esto adquiera un aspecto más limpito. Así que, para terminar, sólo quiero disculparme por el aspecto actual del sitio con los usuarios de Explorer (¿no habéis pensado en cambiaros a Linux o a Mac?) y prometeros que, poquito a poco, intentaré actualizar todos los contenidos para que tengan mejor aspecto en los distintos navegadores.  | Lately I have been preparing and uploading several more of the stories for Khaostories. So you may already find listed the second part of the Trilogía de la vida (entitled He levantado mi vida una y otra vez, y de nuevo la he vuelto a destruir) and some of my most conceptual works, in which the shaping is part of the content itself, of the message. These are the texts that, one day, Keoki named frikadas (or freaky-stuff). You will have to wait for me to list in Khaostories the tale Cerró de nuevo la ventana, so as to read the comment that he made in this respect.
So, step by step, this small project of mine keeps growing up… |
| Yesterday, I had the great idea of having a look at the way my contents look like in Explorer. Maybe I should clarify that I am a Mac user, so my natural browser is Safari. Besides, the problem grows bigger if I tell you that also K is a Mac user, and that the two friends that more easily could have given me some professional advice in this stuff, i.e. Keoki and Il Pablino (AKA Mr Minijuegos), are also into Mac.
Whatever. The fact is that one would anyway think that writing pretty basic html for my own files and keeping the core of the website powered by WordPress, one would be guaranteed to be complying with Explorer’s requirements - anyway, nothing in the market is designed to comply with the industry standards but with Microsoft standards instead. Well now, the answer is no. When I opened this page with Explorer, it looked like a mess. And after a while of browsing around the site, I simply came to the conclusion that, apart from being more careful and running some testing with different browsers every now and then, what I must do is to get down to the basics and define every parameter in absolute figures, as much as possible. E.g. borders, picture sizes… anything that may be measured in pixels, I must specify the pixels. Good, at least I guess this way everything here should look tidier. So I just want to finish apologizing for the present appearance of the site to all those that use Explorer (have you thought of changing over to Linux or Mac?) and promise that, little by little, I will try to update all the contents to make them look nicer in different browsers.
